When he believed himself responsible for killing thousands of people by blowing up a planet, he is wracked with guilt to the point he tries to goad Hal into “executing” him, even to the point pleading with him. For example, after leaving the Red Lantern hate cult, it seems his source of power changes from other-expressed rage and hate to instead hating himself (self-loathing) or being angry at himself, combined with irritable pessimism. Over time, the sources and manifestations of Razer’s rage, hate, and anger shift, becoming less varied, weaker, and less destructive.

He would inevitably lose the sufficient rage, hate, and anger to be a Red Lantern, so by definition he can’t be a Red Lantern who’s a good guy. Yes, but not indefinitely under original flavor or largely canon-compliant conditions. Can Razer be a Red Lantern and Still be a Good Guy? Part 1
